DIY Bath Salts

Tired and need to relax and/or you have aching muscles?  Here is a bath salts for you.  With just a few inexpensive organic ingredients, you can make your own using any scent you like.  Mine is Lavender but I've also used peppermint, lemon, vanilla, sandalwood, camomile, etc.
2 1/2 cups Epsom Salt (you can also use sea salt)
1/4 cup baking soda or corn starch (denderitic salt if you can find it)
4 tsps Lavender essential oil (use any scented essential oil you like)
Mix the baking soda/cornstarch and oil together until completely absorbed then add to the Epsom salt and blend some more.  Store in air tight containers, I use recycled jars and/or air tight plastic containers.  It is possible if moisture gets to the salts, the mix will cake up BUT don't worry, it still works and will dissolve into your warm bath (not too hot or pores will close and skin won't absorb the salts).  Follow your bath with a moisturizer; I like to use plain coconut oil-it comes solid but will melt to the touch.  I purchase from Tropical Traditions or Green Pasture.
Your friends will love to get this as a gift, just tie a bow around the jar or if you stamp, make a cute little band to go around the container and decorate it!
Thanks for visiting.....
